Full Insite was formed by Greg Baerg, a former executive for Tribune Media Services' (TMS) online division. From 2002 to 2004, Baerg was the executive director of online products for TMS, overseeing the entertainment site Zap2it.com and the online relationships Zap2it shared with hundreds of partners, including Yahoo, MSN, AOL and Knight Ridder.
During his tenure, Baerg led Zap2it.com to new highs in traffic, with the site growing 79% in unique visitors, to more than 3 million, and passing competitors TVGuide.com and EOnline.com in that metric for the first time in history.
Baerg helped lead the launch team for Zap2it.com in May 2000, prior to which he served as executive producer for the TV site UltimateTV.com.
In the late 1990s, as the World Wide Web was reaching critical mass, Baerg was part of the Orange County, Calif., marketing firm EMC and worked on the websites of a number of national clients, including Cleveland Golf.
He was also one of the original "guides" upon the launch of About.com (then known as The Mining Company) in 1997.
